Tech Set Go

Beyond the basics.

Hands-on tech skills for kids. Real lessons on files, web safety, information trust, and AI literacy.

Why I built this

I've worked in tech for nearly fifteen years, building software and managing products. I grew up figuring out computers the hard way. MS-DOS, Windows 95, floppy drives, breaking things and fixing them. That's how my whole generation learned.

My stepkids are growing up differently. They use Chromebooks at school. Their IT class covers Google Workspace and using AI to make pictures. That's about it.

We tried teaching them the rest ourselves. It didn't really stick. And I started to realize: if this is all they're learning, they're not going to be set up for college, for the job market, for where AI is actually headed. They won't know how to spot misinformation, recognize AI-generated content, or handle basic troubleshooting. I'll probably be doing tech support for them well into adulthood. The same way I still do for my parents.

I don't want that for them. And I can't imagine I'm the only one who feels this way.

So I built what I was looking for: real, hands-on lessons where kids practice on a simulated computer, make mistakes safely, and actually learn how technology works.
